TRANSLATION
Each time I open my eyes,
I make sure you're by my side
The words I couldn't say back then overflow now...
It hurts
How can you forgive me?
Even when I brought you to tears so many times
The smile you give in return is your answer
"Thank you".... that's all I can say
* Someday I'll lay my love on you
Baby I don't wanna lose it now
Just one, my only one
However much the wind blows against me
Even if it seems like I'll get lost
There's just one, only one person... you
But still, my heart whispers,
"Can this love really last?"
We shared our sorrows from the very beginning...
I can only do something like that with you
Let's name it 'eternity'
This nameless love,
There's just one
The two of us need no other words
Looking into your eyes, I vow this
Let me be by your side... forever
The two of us were bound together by small miracles...
I'm sure of it
I pray for this love to be true
I can't part with you
I'd miss you... my baby you
I offer you my everything
In a sky that's all yours, I'll put a rainbow
And we'll cross it together
* Repeat

Translator's Notes
I must admit I'm a little uncertain on my word choice here. The word 'tabi' generally means 'when' but implies the idea of 'whenever A (then B)'. There isn't always a B, but in this case it would be 'kimi ga iru sono koto wo tashikameru' (lit., You are here, I verify/confirm it). Originally, I'd translated these lines as "When I open my eyes, you'll be here... I'll make sure of it" but as I hadn't translated the rest of the song yet, I realized later that a future tense didn't really work with the song as a whole. Japanese verb tenses oftentimes aren't exactly compatible with those of English, so this could plausibly be either future or present tense, depending on the context. So, in the end I decided on what you see now after asking a couple of other Japanese majors their opinions. If anyone more knowledgeable has any thoughts on these couple of lines, please do let me know! I'd love to know if I understood correctly.
This part was fun because Japanese likes phrases that just don't sound so hot in English. 'Donna kaze ni fukarete' would literally be something like 'whatever wind I'm blown about by' ... which just sounds rather awkward. So, I took a little creative license and changed the words some. Technically, what I put for the English would be more correctly expressed if the lyrics had been 'Donna mukai kaze ga fuite' but I still think it keeps the feeling of struggle intact. I think the imagery here is, simply put, one of determination. No matter how hard the wind blows against (him), even if (he) gets lost, (she's) still the one he'll fight to reach, the one he wants to be with.
This pair of lines was also a bit of a challenge. The phrase 'kara saki ni,' when preceded by a noun means 'noun first,' like 'ashi kara saki ni' would be 'feet first.' Here, the line is 'kanashimi kara saki ni' which I'm guessing would literally be 'sorrows/sadness first.' Since this doesn't really make sense on its own, I embellished a little and hopefully remained true to the intended meaning. I thought my interpretatation made sense (something like 'we shared our sorrows from the begging/first' ) considering the next line's meaning (lit., 'only with you [can I do] that sort of thing'). Once again, anyone more knowledgeable, please feel free to chime in! ^^;;
Here, the first line isn't really an issue. I just highlighted it because I felt the ideas from it were meant to continue into those of the second and hoped that having them the same color would help the reader to make that connection more easily. The second line, 'sono hitomi ni chikaou' would literally translate to something akin to 'I'll vow into those eyes' which admittedly sounds pretty strange in English. I think the idea is that (he's) looking into (her) eyes and promising that they need no other words than those that express their love (or something like that ^^ ).
I wasn't sure how to get this to sound 'pretty' in English. 'Musubi awaseru' means like to interlace/intertwine, to tie together. In any case, I think the idea is that there was some sort of special interference in getting the two together. I also wonder if this might be playing on the idea of the red string of fate in Japanese culture. I know DBSK are Korean, but their lyricist is likely not. Anyway, there's a story that there's an invisible red string that ties each person to their destined other half. This string might get tangled and stretched but it can't be broken. I felt the idea went very well with the theme trhoughout the song that no matter what struggles must be faced, they'll be together, and also the idea that (she's) the only one, that this love is the only one. This is purely my interpretation and the red string of fate may have absolutely nothing to do with this lyric but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case. Plus, it's a fun piece of cultural myth ^^
The first couple lines of this verse are pretty self-explanatory. I threw in the " I'd " in "I'd miss you... my baby you" because I felt it was implied after the idea of being unable to be parted from (her). The last two lines aren't quite so set in stone. These lines both use forms of the verb 'kakeru' with no kanji in sight. That means there are a LOT of possibilities here. I went with meanings I felt fit within the context of the song (offering his all and putting a rainbow in the sky), but they might not be spot on. Anyone here a native Japanese speaker? *puppy eyes*

目が 覚めるその度
君がいる その事を確かめる
あの頃の僕には 言えなかった
言葉があふれて 痛いよ
なぜ 僕を許すの?
何度も 君を涙に沈めたのに
微笑み返すのが 答えなんだね
「ありがとう、」
それしか 言えない
Someday I'll lay my love on you
Baby I don't wanna lose it now
Just one My only one
もうどんな 風に吹かれて
迷いそうになったって
たったひとつ たったひとり
君を
まだ ささやく心
本当に 愛し続けられるか、と
哀しみから先に 分け合えたね
君しか出来ない そんな事
永遠と 名づけよう
名前の無い愛を
Just one ふたりで
もうどんな 言葉もいらない
その瞳に誓おう
君のそばに いさせて
ずっと
小さな奇蹟たちが
僕たちを 結びあわせたんだ
きっと
I pray for this love to be true
失えない君を
miss you. my baby you
僕のすべてをかけて
君だけの空に 虹を架け
ふたりで渡ろう
Somebody I'll lay my love on you
Baby I don't wanna lose it now
Just one My only one
もうどんな 風に吹かれて
迷いそうになったって
たったひとつ たったひとり
君を

I heard this song for the first time today, I speak a bit of Japanese and I could understand an amount of the words.. One of the most beautiful songs they've ever written. I was so moved by it, the lyrics are so pure and heartfelt.
i really appreciate ur work...
though they release this song in Korean first, i like the Japanese version better..
